General instructions

Project participants

It is important to demonstrate the synergies of the Nordic co-operation, as well as that the project involves true co-operation and task sharing amongst the participants. Countries outside the Nordic region can participate the project with own funding.

Evaluation of the applications

Applications that arrive to NKJ will be assessed by the Nordic expert panel for their scientific quality. See for criteria here. Their relevance and Nordic usefulness will be evaluated by the board of NKJ. The decision on which projects will be recommended for funding will be taken at the NKJ's autumn meeting in the end of November.

Research funds

The approved NKJ research projects will be financed by NKJ's member organisations and NKJ only recommends them to do so. Networks and other research related activities are financed with the funds from the Nordic Council of Ministries.
